Weekly Brief

This week's update on what Parish Councillors and the Council Officers have been working on:

1. On Wednesday, the Big Conversation held at Meopham School was a success. Members of the public were welcomed in and were given the opportunity to talk to officers from Gravesham Borough Council, our local Beat Officer, PC Jo Hammond and external organisations such as Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund, We Are Beams and Kent Fire and Rescue Service. Pictured below, from left to right are Shaun Fishenden (Clerk), Cllr Cheryl Price (Chairman of Parish Council), PC Jo Hammond (Beat Officer) and Cllr Lauren Sullivan (GBC Cabinet Member for Community and Leisure).

2. A reminder that tomorrow is our Annual Remembrance Service. We advise getting to the War Memorial on Meopham Green (Steeles Lane), around 2:45pm to ensure a prompt start at 3pm.

3. This week Council Officers have been working on producing reports and preparing paperwork for the Full Council meeting on Tuesday 21st November 2023. Please note that members of the public are allowed to attend our Full Council Meetings. Find below our upcoming meeting schedule.
